Instant Pot Lobster Tails

This is the perfect easy and quick meal to make at home thanks to the instant pot! I love having a night in with my husband on evenings we don't feel like going out but we're craving fine dining or on a regular family night in with our boys whom love lobster too!

Let's get started with this delicious recipe! I'll start by sharing the cooking products I used to make this recipe just click the images below or the underlined words, they have referral links that will direct you where to purchase each item at the best prices available with some offering sale discounts and free shipping!

  1. Instant Pot LUX, 8qt. I personally picked this one because it has the cake feature.
  2. 2 piece stainless steel egg steamer rack for instant pot. I love these multi-purpose steam racks because you can boil eggs, stack veggie steamer baskets, pan trays or cake pans and much more! In this recipe I use the taller rack that's 3.15inches.

  1. 6 Raw Lobster Tails.
  2. 1 cup of Butter.
  3. 4 cloves of Garlic.
  4. 2 Lemons
  5. 2tbsp of Johnny's Garlic Seasoning.

Once you have all your ingredients start by rinsing your lobster tails and setting them aside. Next add one cup of water inside the instant pot then sprinkle 1 tsp of salt and 1 tbsp of Johnny's garlic seasoning and whisk it together. Then place the taller 3.15inch egg stainless steel rack. Then carefully place each lobster tail on the rack with tails hanging down, see picture below.

Once all the lobster tails are in place lock the instant pot lid, then set the steam release valve to "sealing" and lastly press manual and set time to 4 minutes.

Next grab a small sauce pan and place it on the stovetop over medium heat and place 1 cup of butter, 4 peeled garlic gloves and sprinkle 3 tbsp of Johnny's Garlic Seasoning and let it shimmer on low with lid covered over sauce pan until garlic cloves are soft or semi-tender.

Sur La Table

Once the butter has melted and garlic cloves have softened turn off burner and set it aside with lid closed, picture below.

*Please read your instant pot user manual for important safeguards and safety tips on how to properly use your instant pot. I'm not responsible for any accidents, burns, broken equipment, damages or injuries.

Once the lobster tails are done and all pressure is released from the instant pot remove the lid and use tongs to grab each lobster tail out and place them on a serving tray. You can then serve them with the shell on or cut them before serving.

Lastly cut 2 lemons and serve your garlic butter in mini sauce bowls on the side. I serve this as a surf and turf with steaks, mashed potatoes and a garden salad.
